Procedure for getting a new PESCO Electricity Connection step-by-step, both online and manually
If you want to install a new electricity connection at home, office, or company, I will explain all the steps in an easy way so that you can apply online from the comfort of your own home. You won’t need to waste your valuable time and money going to the Pesco Electricity service office for a new connection.
There are a few steps that you need to follow in order to easily submit your application for a new Electricity connection.After submitting your application for new Electricity Connection you can view Connection Status online. Online Procedure
First, you need to visit the official website of PESCO at www.pesco.gov.pk. The website provides detailed information about the services provided by the company, including new connections.
Once you are on the website, look for the “Customer Services” option in the main menu. Click on this option to access a dropdown menu that includes various services provided by PESCO, including “New Connection.” This New Connection option is also given on the top of menu bar you can also click there for further process.
Click on the “New Connection” option, and you will be taken to a new page with detailed information about the eligibility criteria for a new connection.
Here you can download different file which is related to detail procedure of new connection, condition which is required to getting new electricity connection, download NOC and affidavit sample which also required when you submit your Application for new connection. Read this information carefully to make sure you meet the requirements.
Once you are familiar with the eligibility criteria, click on the “Apply” button which is on left side of page to start the application process.
You will be directed to an online application form that you need to fill out with accurate information. The form will require you to provide information about which type of connection you want domestic, commercial, industrial or other type. You’re personal details, such as your name, address, and contact number, as well as the details of your property, such as the location and size.
Along with your personal details, you will also need to upload some documents to support your application, such as proof of ownership of the property, your attested CNIC copy, attested CNIC copy of witness, Neighbor Electricity Bill Copy and a wiring Contractor’s Test Report. These documents are required to verify your identity and property ownership.

After you have reviewed the information, submit the application form and wait for the verification process to becompleted. The verification process may take a few days or weeks, depending on the workload of the PESCO team.
Once your application is approved, you will receive a demand notice with the required fee and other charges. The fee and charges may vary depending on the location and size of your property.
Pay the fee and charges through the online payment system or at a designated bank branch. You will need to provide the reference number provided on the demand notice while making the payment.
After the payment is confirmed, PESCO will schedule the installation of your new electricity connection within the specified timeframe. The installation process may take a few days, depending on the workload of the PESCO team and the availability of resources. Once the installation is complete, you can start using your new electricity connection

Manually Procedure
- You can obtain a free new connection application form from the PESCO company’s office or website pesco.gov.pk. Attach photocopies of the below-mentioned documents with the form and submit them to the office.
- Three photocopies of the application form.
- Copies of the tariff signed by the applicant and witness (no need for a sign from the witness for domestic and commercial single-phase connections).
- Proof of ownership (registry, original fard, bay nama, allotment letter (in case of a housing society), all pages must be attested by an oath commissioner or notary public or grade 1 gazette officer.
- An undertaking from the applicant that no connection is available before at the same place, and payment is not pending, but if any payment is pending, they must have to pay.
- If more than one owner of the property, their permission letter is mandatory. (The letter/stamp paper must be attested by the oath commissioner)
- If the applicant is on rent, the permission letter of the owner is mandatory. (The stamp paper must be attested by an oath commissioner)
- An attested photocopy of the CNIC of the applicant.
- Two attested photocopies of the CNIC of each witness. (There is no need for the applicants of a single-phase meter).
(Additional documents for commercial applicants)
- Connection of the company or more than one owner of the company in that case power of attorney ( from other owners of the company) that the applicant can persuade and make a deal with the distribution company.
- Map of the place of connection of the applicant.
- In case of limited and private limited company memorandum of article. (Incorporation Certificate)
- Attested photocopies of the cnic and address of the members of board of directors
- As per form 29 signed NOC on letter pad from all directors of the company
- Certificate) Charge creation certificate) released by SECP whose value is equal to the security amount
I can also provide more details on the authority responsible for granting permission for a new connection. The officer and concerned department authorized for this varies depending on the category of connection, such as 15 kilowatt and 500 kilowatt connections.
CATEGORY 1 (15 Kilo Watt)
- Permission will be granted by concerned SDO/AMO
- Concerned office will give the receipt and seniority number to the applicant.
- Concerned office will inspect the place of connection and will make sure whether connection provisioning is possible or not.
- If it is possible to provide connection at the desire location, after that the cost will be estimated
- After the approval of the estimated cost (demand notice) of the new connection the demand notice will be sent to the applicant by post or by hand.
- Applicant will deposit demand notice in the concerned bank and will submit the receipt to the concerned office.
- Applicant will provide the wiring test report and concern office will confirm it.
- As per date of submission of demand notice, the concerned office will prepare a preference list of the applicants.
- Concerned office will release the orders of the service connection.
- Concerned office will contact the store for issuance of equipment for installation of new connection.
- Concerned store will issue the equipment required for installation of new connection.
- After issuance of equipment SDO/AMO office will install the connection.
CATEGORY 2(71 To 500 Kilo Watt/ 400 Volt)
- The application will be approved by the concerned SE/Manager operations
- Concerned office will issue the receipt for complete application form and related documentsÛ”
- Concerned office will inspect the place of connection and will make sure whether connection provisioning is possible or not.
- If it is possible to provide connection at the desire location, after that the cost will be estimated
- Concerned office will approve the installation of the new connection.
- After the approval of the estimated cost (demand notice) of the new connection the demand notice will be sent to the applicant by post or by hand. Applicant will deposit demand notice in the concerned bank and will submit the receipt to the concerned office.
- Applicant will provide the wiring test report and XEN will confirm it.
- Concerned office will release the orders of the service connection.
- Concerned office will contact the store for issuance of equipment for installation of new connection. Store will issue the equipment required for installation of new connection.
- After issuance of equipment concerned committee will install the connection.
Time Frame for New Connections (OS-3 NEPRA GUIDE LINE)
A distribution company shall provide electric power service to at least 95% of new connections to its eligible consumers as specified in the Consumer Eligibility Criteria laid down by the Authority pursuant to section 21(2)(b) of the NEPRA ACT in each of the following categories with in the time limits specified below from the date of application for new PESCO Electricity connection, namely.

Explanation: Time shall be counted from the date of registration of the application for a new connection till such time the consumer is provided the connection.
